Inorder to provide learning environment my top priority is to know the needs and interests of the child. Lesson plan should be framed in such away where children can use all the senses for the better learning outcome. I would provide them every possible ways to explore their knowledge and guide them. Some children needs scaffolding to explore them and it's my duty to observe those students and bring out best in them.

1. The relational aspect - Teachers are welcoming and warmth towards the children, shows affection and care.
2. The physical surrounding - it is important that the classroom should be bright and not dark and looks child friendly. Colourful and spacious.
3. Availability of play materials - Ample visual, audio, audio-visual, hands-on materials for the children to play with should be available in order to make learning environment fun and enjoyable.
4. Interactive class - children should be allowed to asked questions and interact with peers and teachers as well all the time.
Every child is unique and has different learning styles. First of all the teacher needs to understand the student/child if he's slow learner or fast learner. Accordingly we have to develop the technique to teach them so that the child can learn in a proper way. Teach them according to their capacity of learning and motivate them to create a good learning atmosphere for themselves.

I will encourage an open, welcoming atmosphere where children can freely discuss their problems and doubts and put forth any ideas or thoughts they may have. Secondly, I will link the textbook centric syllabi with real life examples and applications, including demonstrations, to help children understand the practical importance of what they learn and to boost their interest. Thirdly, there will be a positive feedback loop where students will understand their mistakes and shortcomings but also their strengths, so that they are not bogged down by negative feelings.

I believe the most important aspect in a safe and positive learning environment is the rapport between a teacher and his or her students. When the students understand that their teacher cares about them and wants them to do well, students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and taking risks in order to learn something new. To build these kinds of relationships, the teacher should take interest in each student's strengths and interests, as well as their struggles and frustrations. He or she needs to act as a positive model for learning and celebrating achievements. When the students see that their teacher can learn from his or her mistakes, and laugh even in times when he or she feels frustrated, the students will feel much more comfortable to do the same.

It is important for the teachers to understand that children vary in their cognitive abilities and styles. This makes each one of them think and behave differently as they look at the problems and situations differently and thus, analyse differently and make decisions accordingly. Therefore, the teachers must also be prepared to behave and respond differently, even in a similar situation, keeping each child’s perspective in mind. Teachers can tailor the learning plan or the instructional process to help children develop these abilities thus, allowing them to achieve mutual educational goals by understanding both children and their needs. It also helps teachers grab children’s attention and persuade them more easily, improve engagement in the activities, enhance knowledge, understand learning preferences, and save time. DeleteLearning environment is an important part of a child's learning process. We have to make sure that a child feels comfortable in our classroom or outside while we help them to learn. Learning can be in various ways to help children enjoy it as this will enable them to get the maximum from what we want to give them. As a teacher we have to be creative with what we have to make the learning environment of a child a safe and a happy space for them. They should learn with joy and not with pressure that they have to do it.

ReplyDeleteIn order to create a learning environment for the children I feel that in oder to help children learn better the following tools may be used:
1. Using audio ( Hearing tools ) in which they will learn by hearing.
2. Using video ( looking tools ) in which they will learn by seeing.
3. Using kinesthetic ( muscle feeling) in which they will learn by doing.
4. Using current affairs ( relevant and contextual )
5. Create an atmosphere of fantasy/story, silence/ stillness.... In this way I feel children will learn more.
Hands on activities will really help the students learn. So yes I would opt this style. However it also depends on the topic taught, so different topics required different methods of teaching.Learning should be fun and joyful keeping in mind the experience and exposure of the child.

In order to create a learning environment for children the classroom should be warm, joyful and conducive with proper light and ventilation..The teachers teaching the various subjects should be approachable,understanding and cater to every needs of the child,especially with small children in school they look up to the teacher as their parents, their guides. Incase of aggressive, violent or emotional children,the teacher should also know the background of that particular child inorder to correct and reform the child, there should be cooperation and should be in close contact and communication with the child's parents for the child progress and development.
