A teacher play an important part with regards to cleanliness,we should be the example for the students and must guide and monitor them about keeping themselves clean an tidy by cutting the nail, taking a bath, keeping the surrounding clean, washing their hands, face regularly etc
By inform them to dress a clean school uniform, washing hands regularly, cutting nails, cleaning drive once in a months, cleaning the toilet at using etc.

To monitor on a daily basis to ensure that children are following hygienic practices,I propose the following areas: 1)Proper hand washing techniques. 2) Mouth to be covered when cough or sneeze. 3) Appropriate toilet habits. 4) Nails should be always cut short.
Encouraging children to develop good hygiene, can be done through modelling good hygiene practices ourself, we can also make up fun and interactive games or display posters that promote good hygiene practices so the children want to do it, prompting children to wash there hands before and after certain activities. Such as ::
Washing hand before and after eating, after going to the toilet, brushing teeth every morning and night, rinse mouth after every meal etc.
By teaching the children all the healthy habits both personal and social and at the same time to monitor and ensure that the children are following all the healthy and clean habits.
The things that I'm concern is how to give the students a proper response about the importance of hygiene and achieving good health, and for that I ask them to always wash their hands before and after coming out of the bathroom, before having their meal ( I usually said them to practice these habit not only at school by to follow these instructions at home too) and also having a hygiene habit of taking bath. everyday.

By pratising hygiene routine like washing hand before and after mealtimes and providing children with positive feedback and supprot we help to nurture a safe and secure environment with healthy habits that they can take with them into adulthood
Teaching, and reinforcing, children to wash their hands at appropriate times is the single best method to minimize spread of germs and infections. More importantly, teaching them specific hand washing techniques using soap and water, length of time washing, and when to wash.

Goal 1 of the developmental goals of FLN is to achieve health and well being of a child. Holistic development of health is pre-requisite to the later stage of a child's overall growth. In the area of hyngienic practices children need not only to be monitored but to be taught and develop good behavioural cleanliness habits, especially in COVID19 times like these. The goal is to instill in them the need to take of themselves daily by practicing habits of handwashing, cough and sneeze etiquettes, regular bath, wearing clean clothes and eating clean food. Secondly, on keeping their immediate environment clean.
Each Individual (Child) is unique, behave with them affectionately, help them to regulate and monitor their own learning, let them interact with each other in real life situation, let them learn in natural atmosphere.
The following are the hygienic practices which I would propose to monitor children about keeping themselves clean and tidy by cutting the nail, taking a bath, keeping the surrounding clean, washing their hands, face etc. regularly.
First of all by being an example and also work together with parents inorder to ensure that children are following hygienic practices. Secondly, We should guide them how to wash hands, asked if they take a bath daily, comb their hair, and check if they cut their nails, brush their teeth, use proper toilet, cover their mouths when they cough and sneeze. As teachers we should tell them the importance of keeping their classrooms, homes and surroundings clean.
By encouraging students to adopt and practice desirable hygiene behaviours as hygiene aimed at reducing disease transmission, prevent diseases and to promote good health, E.g washing hands with soap before eating and after using the toilet, eating healthy food , wearing clean dress etc.
We can monitor hygienic practices of children by first teaching them about hygiene and the importance of hygienic practice. After we can engage children in practical hygienic activities so that they learn to develop personal hygiene as they slowly grow up.
Growing in a clean and safe environment is every child's right.Access to clean water ,basic toilets and good hygienic practices not only keeps children thriving but also give them a healthier start in life.
As teachers we can promote children by good personal hygiene. In the morning assembly we check their nails to ensure that they keep their nails short and clean, checking their uniform, their hair. The most important thing is that children need to be taught about personal hygiene even in the Class room, proper hand washing techniques, to take care of oral and dental hygiene. They also need to be told about the importance of keeping their classrooms, homes and surroundings clean.
Every child is unique in their own ways and abilities, so as teachers we have to know their abilities and approach them individually in accordance with their pace and abilities.
As we know that hygiene is the science of preserving and promoting health . We as teachers should educate the children that not only by cutting nails, taking bath daily, wearing new clothes etc will help us be free from diseases But we need to reach them that they should eat good and balanced diet , immunization, regular check up , doing exercises ate also the ways to ensure good health .
Teachers have a critical role to play in ensuring that students follow a proper hygienic practice. It is important to lead by example. We must encourage students to get into the practice of regularly washing their hands, to teach them the etiquettes of coughing and sneezing. We can also create some practical activities to demonstrate good hygiene practices to our students, like creating a hand hygiene song to sing with our students and have them draw hygiene posters for the classroom.
As teachers we need not only to teach but to also make them practice healthy habits and this need to be inculcated into their minds from lower classes.
To ensure child hygiene practice taking bath daily, washing hands after their needs and before eating, clean school uniform, cutting nail, comb their hair properly etc.
As an educator, I will guide the students in a way that they should maintain themselves neat and clean personally and publically in order to stay healthy.

Recommended products Helping to keep your children healthy at school through good hygiene. Whether your child is starting school for the first time or returning after the holidays, mixing with lots of other children will expose him or her to many more germs than there are at home. While you can’t prevent contact with all germs (and remember that exposure to some germs is a good thing), you can help reduce the risk of your child picking up an infection through healthy hygiene habits.
How do germs spread at school? School children often pick up cold and flu viruses or tummy bugs that can lead to diarrhoea. These infections can spread very quickly from child to child by touching a contaminated surface. Germs also spread very quickly in the air via coughs and sneezes, as well as by eating contaminated food.
Why is good hygiene important? Once your child becomes infected, germs can quickly spread to the rest of your family at home. Bouts of the common cold and upset tummies are common at the start of a new term – both in schools and families. So, helping your child understand about good hygiene will go a long way to helping them and the rest of your family stay healthy.

The physical outlook of every child says it all. If I have to monitor a child on a daily basis their physical appearance says it all. Right from the time the child enter the school campus as an educator I would observer the child and notices it and also talk to the parents which is important as a child is dependent on their parents for everything so parents must be taken into account. The second thing that as an educator I would do is everyday in class I would check their nails and their uniform. I would also have an interactive session on how to maintain cleanliness of oneself. While in school I will make sure that the children washes their hands after using the washroom, and also before taking their lunch. After coming back from their lunch break or from their games activities I would make them wash their hands. These are small steps that as an educator I would do to endure hygienic practices
Personal hygiene is all about how we care for our body and this includes bathing, washing of hands, brushing our teeth and many other. We as teachers should always instill in children the need and practices of personal hygiene in everyday life. Some of my thoughts to ensure that children are following hygienic practices on a daily basis may be stated below: i. we should regularly monitor the children that they must wear clean uniform and also clean innerwear. ii. Nails should be trim regularly to keep them short and clean. iii. We should always make sure that their school bags are also clean and also that no remnants of food items should be left in the bags. iv. Basic etiquette of using handkerchief whenever the children are coughing or sneezing should be taught and be reminded regularly to all the children. v. Thorough hand washing should always be taught(rubbing together of hands for atleast 20 seconds with soap and water) when: a) After using the toilet. b) Before and after eating. c) After playing outside. d) After coughing, sneezing or blowing their nose. vi. Eating hygienic and mostly home prepared food should always be encourage to all children. We should also discourage children to eat junk food or any types of snacks that are plastic-packed and easily available in the roadside shops as these food may have an adverse affect on the health of the children.
In order to monitor children to follow a hygienic practice we need to teach them how to dress well, how to do and what to do before as well as after taking meal, and many other hygienic practices.
In order to monitor the hygienic practice of children we need to tell them how to dress well and observe them if they really follow it. Washing and bathing everyday is a must in order to keep themselves healthy, clean and decent.
Personal hygiene is a must for each one of them. Personal hygiene should be taught in schools and teachers need to help children practise Personal hygiene. Teachers also need to monitor and make sure that children learn how to follow hygienic practices.
As Health is wealth, we as teachers should ensure that all students should know how to follow the hygienic practices like washing their hands frequently, dress well neat and clean, regular bathing, eat well cooked, fresh and clean food.
Daily hygienic practices proposed by me for students 1.Brush your teeth. 2.Wash your face 3.Wash your hands before and after meal. 4.Comb your hair and trim the nails. 5.Wear clean clothes and 6.Taking bath daily etc
SafetyPromoting good personal hygiene habits does more than protect children from the threat of germs and disease. Children need to be taught proper hand washing techniques. They should also be taught to cover their mouths when they cough and sneeze, appropriate toilet habits and about taking care of their body, bathing, combing, cutting their nails, and about oral and dental hygiene. Along with personal hygiene, environmental sanitation is also very important, children need to be told the importance of keeping their classrooms, homes and surroundings clean. It is important to create a warm, friendly, nurturing environment in early childhood settings where children feel safe and relaxed. They need to learn to connect with their peers and develop a healthy view of themselves and the world around them. It is also important to ensure by staff, parents and teachers to eliminate risk conditions or threats that may cause accidents, bodily injury as well as emotional and psychological distress. Children also need to be informed about good touch and bad touch so that they can report and raise alarm if they are being abused by anyone
To monitor children hygienic is to teach the importance of personal cleanliness to every child in physical and mental.and also their surrounding should be clean.
Hygiene, sanitation and safety habits. Promoting good personal hygiene. Proper hand-washing techniques and hand-sanitising. Appropriate toilets habits. Care of the body, bathing, combing, hair, cutting of nails, oral and dental hygiene. Entertainmental sanitation regarding home, school, surrounding. Cleanliness of school dress, home dress, and changing of underwears daily. Ensure and eliminate risk conditions that may cause accidents bodily, emotionally and psychological. Healthy deit in regards to health and well being of the children.
Personal hygiene and cleanliness of the students can be taught and maintained by teaching them the importance of it--to be free from ailments and to fit oneself in society.
As instructors, role model of young minds, we should cautiously move our steps whatever we do is copied indefinitely by them. We should show the habit of washing hands, covering our mouth with handkerchief while coughing, sneezing keeping our nails short, combing our hair neatly, throwing garbages in dustbin etc.
The areas that teacher should monitor on a daily basis to ensure that children are following hygienic practices: 1. Proper hand washing techniques and hand sanitizing. 2. Toilet habits and cleanliness of the body and school dress/ home dress. 3. Combing of hair, cutting of nails, brushing of teeth. 4. Healthy diet.

ReplyDeleteThe things that I'm concern is how to give the students a proper response about the importance of hygiene and achieving good health, and for that I ask them to always wash their hands before and after coming out of the bathroom, before having their meal ( I usually said them to practice these habit not only at school by to follow these instructions at home too) and also having a hygiene habit of taking bath. everyday.

ReplyDeleteI need to instruct the parents as well as children without getting tired of saying the same thing as it is my primary duty
ReplyDeleteHygienic Practices could be performed only by keeping a specific schedule of hygiene classes and allowing them to perform such practices through practical form.
ReplyDeletesupproting good basic hygiene pratices in child care encourage children to acquire positive hygiene habits that last a lifetime. At the same time ,our method reduce the risk of across infection between children and adults within the centre.
ReplyDeleteAs educator we can reduce the spreade of infection by promoting and role modelling good hygiene habits to our children say astrid.
Encouraging children to learn self help and self care skills also supports good hygiene pratices.
ReplyDeleteHand Hygiene performance in Health Care can be monitored directly or indirectly. Direct Methods include : direct observation, patient assessment or HCW self reporting. Indirect methods include: monitoring consumption of product, such as Soap or handrub and automated monitoring of the use of sinks and handrub dispenses
ReplyDeleteOne of the most important good hygiene habits that children need to learn is hand washing, which reduces the risk of them getting ill. But there are other self-help and self-care skills too, like regularly showering or brushing teeth, that can also limit cross-infection.
ReplyDeleteGood healthy habits should be taught to students right from early childhood, once they gain that knowledge they will be able to keep themselves clean and healthy in all sphere of life .

ReplyDeleteGoal 1 of the developmental goals of FLN is to achieve health and well being of a child. Holistic development of health is pre-requisite to the later stage of a child's overall growth.
ReplyDeleteIn the area of hyngienic practices children need not only to be monitored but to be taught and develop good behavioural cleanliness habits, especially in COVID19 times like these.
ReplyDeleteThe following are the hygienic practices which I would propose to monitor children about keeping themselves clean and tidy by cutting the nail, taking a bath, keeping the surrounding clean, washing their hands, face etc. regularly.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all by being an example and also work together with parents inorder to ensure that children are following hygienic practices.
ReplyDeleteBy encouraging students to adopt and practice desirable hygiene behaviours as hygiene aimed at reducing disease transmission, prevent diseases and to promote good health, E.g washing hands with soap before eating and after using the toilet, eating healthy food , wearing clean dress etc.
ReplyDeleteWe can monitor hygienic practices of children by first teaching them about hygiene and the importance of hygienic practice. After we can engage children in practical hygienic activities so that they learn to develop personal hygiene as they slowly grow up.
ReplyDeleteGrowing in a clean and safe environment is every child's right.Access to clean water ,basic toilets and good hygienic practices not only keeps children thriving but also give them a healthier start in life.
ReplyDeleteAs teachers we can promote children by good personal hygiene.
ReplyDeleteEvery child is unique in their own ways and abilities, so as teachers we have to know their abilities and approach them individually in accordance with their pace and abilities.
ReplyDeleteAs we know that hygiene is the science of preserving and promoting health .
ReplyDeleteWe as teachers should educate the children that not only by cutting nails, taking bath daily, wearing new clothes etc will help us be free from diseases
But we need to reach them that they should eat good and balanced diet , immunization, regular check up , doing exercises ate also the ways to ensure good health .
Parents at home and teachers at school guide and monitor them the ways to keep oneself clean and tidy.
ReplyDelete(1) To make sure they wash their hands properly with soap and water before and after taking their meal .
ReplyDelete(2) To make sure tht their nails are kept short.
(3) To make sure they change the inner-wears daily .
ReplyDeleteAs teachers we need not only to teach but to also make them practice healthy habits and this need to be inculcated into their minds from lower classes.
ReplyDeleteTo ensure child hygiene practice taking bath daily, washing hands after their needs and before eating, clean school
ReplyDeleteuniform, cutting nail, comb their hair properly etc.
As an educator, I will guide the students in a way that they should maintain themselves neat and clean personally and publically in order to stay healthy.
ReplyDeleteHelp children to understand the importance of healthy habits both personal and social. As teacher we should be the good example for the them,we must guide and monitor them how to keep themselves clean
ReplyDeleteAs a teacher we should teach the childs about cleanliness .we have to check the school uniform, shoes should be clean.
ReplyDeleteIt is the duty of every teachers not only teach lesson from syllabus but also have to guide and monitor the students about neat and clean for a healthy living.

ReplyDeleteBathe regularly wash your body.and hair often

ReplyDeleteIt must be ensure students follows principles of cleanliness daily such as taking bath daily, trimming nails short, washing hands frequently, keeping surrounding clean etc
ReplyDeleteOnce the children understood the meaning of personal hygiene we can monitor them by checking frequently whether they have followed the rules of personal hygiene. We can do this by checking their hands, fingernails, hair, uniforms, eating habits etc.We can also ask them whether the have taken a bath, brushed their teeth and any other questions related to personal hygiene.

Helping to keep your children healthy at school through good hygiene.
Avoid spreading cold and flu viruses
Although vaccinations can protect your child from some serious diseases such as tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough, injections cannot protect children from every type of harmful bacteria.
Top tips for good school hygiene
1. Keep hands clean
Thorough hand washing is the single most effective way to help prevent the spread of infections in schools. Teach your children how and when to wash their hands (rubbing the hands together for at least 20 seconds using soap and clean running water). Always wash hands:
After using the toilet
Before eating
After playing outside
After touching something dirty
After coughing, sneezing or blowing their nose
After touching a dirty tissue
After petting/stroking animals
Whenever hands look dirty
Put a pack of Dettol Hand Sanitiser in your child’s bag or lunch bag so that they remember to use it before eating.
2. Coughs and sneezes spread diseases
Teach your children to cover their nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing to stop germs from becoming airborne. Throw used tissues in a bin and always wash hands with soap and water afterwards.
If there isn’t a tissue available, encourage your child to sneeze or cough into the crook of their elbow instead of their hands, to reduce the spread of bacteria.
3. Healthy diet

Good hygiene is not just using hand sanitizer, it’s a way of thinking that spans across all aspects of child care. ReplyDeleteThe physical outlook of every child says it all.
ReplyDeleteIf I have to monitor a child on a daily basis their physical appearance says it all.

We as teachers should always instill in children the need and practices of personal hygiene in everyday life.
